The UNICEF has made a pledge to spend $3.3 billion on malnourished children, especially arising from conflicts and crises

Yesterday the United Nations Children Funds announces, it is spending a mind blowing $3.3billion on about 48million children in areas affected by conflicts. The north-Eastern part of Nigeria is listed among the areas that will be getting the fund as most homes have been abandoned and destroyed by the Boko Haram insurgency, which have left over 1.6million people homeless and over 90000 children at risk of starvation as parents are unable to provide the necessary needs for their children.Other countries listed to be affected by the conflict are Yemen, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Pakistan, and so on.
Earlier this week the UNICEF warns that 90000 children are expected to die of starvation in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria if necessary cautions are not taken. I believe this is a great step towards avoiding the disaster warned about. Now we employ the Nigerian Government to also take a great step towards avoiding the disaster and together we will overcome it.
Lets come together and support a child. They need us now more than ever.

Gunmen Kidnap Commissioner In Cross River

He noted that the Police and other security agencies will not rest in their oars in ensuring that the Commissioner, whom he said is still within Calabar according to intelligence report, is released without being hurt nor any ransom paid. The Deputy Commissioner of Police appealed to the public to avail security agencies with necessary information that would lead...

Help Stop An Execution

Nearly two years ago, the eyes of the world were on Oklahoma, where a man named Richard Glossip was facing execution for a 1997 murder many people say he was not involved in. I learned about Richard’s case when actress Susan Sarandon contacted me, expressing deep concern that the State of Oklahoma was just about to kill an innocent man. After reviewing the facts, I too became convinced of Richard’s innocence, and we decided to  make a public plea for the governor to gra nt freedom On 30 September 2015, Richard came within minutes of execution by lethal injection, when officials suddenly stopped the proceedings. As it turned out, the state of Oklahoma had procured the wrong execution drug, risking another botched execution that would lead to a slow and painful death. At the last minute, Governor Mary Fallin, not exactly an opponent of the death penalty, issued a stay of Richard’s execution. Today, Richard’s situation is nowhere near being resolved. As the st...
