#Chance The Rapper - Far from the Box

Chancelor Johnathan Bennett (born April 16, 1993), known professionally as Chance the Rapper, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer from the West Chatham neighborhood of Chicago,Illinois. In his freshman year at Jones College Prep High School, Chance formed the hip-hop duo Instrumentality with a friend. At Jones College Prep High School, some of his teachers ridiculed his aspirations to become a musician. Following a 10-day suspension in early 2011 during his senior year for possessing marijuana on campus, Bennett recorded his first full-length project, a mixtape titled 10 DayIn 2013, he began to gain recognition following the release of his second mixtape, Acid Rap.Acid Rap was listed on multiple 50 best albums of 2013 lists, including 26th for Rolling Stone,12th on Pitchfork's list, and ranked 4th byComplex. It was also listed as one of NPR Music's 50 Favorite Albums of 2013. Chance embarked on his Social Experiment Tour, in Champaign, Illinois on October 25, 2013, lasting until December 19, 2013. His strong fanbase continued to fund his career without a record label, opening up time to mold a passion project in Surf and serve his Chicago community. After a year of promoting #SaveChicago to combat the city’s rising violence, Chance received Chicago’s Outstanding Youth of the Year Award. January 2015, Bennett was listed number 7 on the "Forbes 30 Under 30" 2015 music list.
In 2016, Chance co-wrote and appeared on Kanye West's album The Life of Pablo. In May 2016, Chance released his third mixtape Coloring Book to further critical acclaim. It earned him three Grammy awards, including for Best Rap AlbumColoring Bookwas the first streaming-only album to ever receive and win a Grammy nomination.
He is currently on tour and has already sold out tickets for shows in June
He recently shared the story on how he was paid $500,000 and offered a commercial to post his album colouring book for 2 weeks on apple exclusively before a wider release in 2016.

When asked if he thought about signing with a record label ,this was his reply There's no reason to. It's a dead industry. Chance has pursued a solo artistic vision outside the usual norm of a record label. He sees himself as a mainstream artist, from studio to fans. The business  world already knows him for redefining the music businesss boundaries. By working outside the system, Chance has managed to stay closely in touch with his city, his community and his musical and lyrical inspirations.
Do you want to be like chance the rapper? Yes, then don't even think that the box exists, do not despair or be discouraged.

Help Stop An Execution

Nearly two years ago, the eyes of the world were on Oklahoma, where a man named Richard Glossip was facing execution for a 1997 murder many people say he was not involved in. I learned about Richard’s case when actress Susan Sarandon contacted me, expressing deep concern that the State of Oklahoma was just about to kill an innocent man. After reviewing the facts, I too became convinced of Richard’s innocence, and we decided to  make a public plea for the governor to gra nt freedom On 30 September 2015, Richard came within minutes of execution by lethal injection, when officials suddenly stopped the proceedings. As it turned out, the state of Oklahoma had procured the wrong execution drug, risking another botched execution that would lead to a slow and painful death. At the last minute, Governor Mary Fallin, not exactly an opponent of the death penalty, issued a stay of Richard’s execution. Today, Richard’s situation is nowhere near being resolved. As the st...
