The ASUP (Academic staff union of Polytechnics) Lagos State Polytechnic chapter had late last month called off their ongoing strike along with the NASUP of the institution, giving the management of the school a month grace to must have met with that which will quench their thirst, and the grace given will actually elapse on Monday 31st of July if their needs are not met.
The institution which is known for her fast calendar among other polytechnics in the previous years have actually had the slowest calendar year, the current semester and session which actual plan was to have wrapped off in the early weeks of this month is still yet to see the examination "time table" for the semester talk less of wrapping off.
Last week the ASUP members have been seen by students putting on different customized shirts like "31st is all about Solidarity" or "Efun wa lo wo wa, so so so"...... hmmmm, that is the management is yet to have met to their needs and if that is the real movie playing so it definitely means the students should be expecting another strike coming this Monday. well we actually can't say, a lot could actually still happen before Monday.
Management/ Lagos State Government please and please attend rightly to the needs of the staffs of the school, Nigeria as a whole isn't smiling at all oooo, and the students of this great institution cant actually risk another strike again, for its not helping the situation at hand in any form, house rents are expired already, land lords will not listen to any pleas, the strike will only mean bad for the students, so please managements and unions of the school help the students by reasoning together to achieve a common goal.
#BRING BACK LASPOTECH'S GLORY.
